NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL STANDARDS AND REGULATIONS ENFORCEMENT AGENCY (NESREA)

2020 ACCREDITATION AND REGISTRATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANTS

The National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA) is an Agency of the Federal Ministry of Environment charged with the responsibility to enforce all environmental laws, guidelines, policies, standards and regulations in Nigeria; and to prohibit processes and the use of equipment and/or technology that undermine environmental quality. NESREA also has the responsibility to enforce compliance with the provision of international environmental agreements, protocols, conventions and treaties to which Nigeria is a signatory.

2. The Agency wishes to invite all Environmental Consultancy companies/organizations that are duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission, have relevant expertise and proven competence in a board spectrum of environmental issues who intend to register with NESREA and accredited NESREA consultants who wish to upgrade their areas of specialization to apply for Accreditation and Registration with the Agency.

3. Each application shall be accompanied by a non-refundable fee of Twenty-five thousand naira (N25, 000.00) payable to any bank on the Treasury Single Account in form of Remita payment in favour of National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA). Documents to be submitted as follows:

i. Application letter on the company’s letterhead indicating area (s) of specialization/expertise such as:

- Environmental Audit;

- Environmental Management Systems;

- Environmental Studies;

- Waste Management;

- Environmental Technology and;

- Environmental Laboratory Services.

ii. Receipt of payment of application fee (obtained from the Agency’s office after TSA payment)

iii. Certificate of Registration/Incorporation with Corporate Affairs Commission;

iv. Memorandum and Article of Association;

v. Particulars of Directors of the Company;

vi. Current VAT and Tax Clearance Certificates of the Company;

vii. Evidence of competence in Environmental Consultancy;

viii. Evidence of previous environmental jobs successfully completed;

ix. Evidence of registration with other relevant regulatory bodies and;

x. Company profile including contact address, functional e-mail address and telephone number (s)

4. All applications are to be submitted in an envelope marked “Application as Environmental Consultant” on or before Friday, 10th April 2020, to:
